One finished film, one review-ready board

This page follows one real example from start to finish: an existing film, the cuts Viva found in it, the frames chosen for review, and the board Viva exported as PDF and editable PowerPoint.

The video

Spring is a 7-minute 44-second animated short by Blender Animation Studio (1718 × 720, 24 fps), released under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0. This site does not host the film.

Cuts found, frames chosen

Viva analyzed the film on a Mac. At the default sensitivity, scene detection found 121 cuts. For this review board, 12 frames were kept and the other cuts were excluded.

Excluded cuts stay visible in grey. A kept frame can be moved a little earlier or later with Adjust.

The board

Viva placed the 12 frames on one A4 landscape page, with a cut number, a timecode and a short note for each frame. The notes were typed for this sample.

Both files were exported by Viva from the same 12 frames. Open the PowerPoint to move, resize or rewrite anything on the slide.

What this sample shows

  • The cuts, the chosen frames, the layout, the cut numbers and the timecodes come from Viva. Only the notes were written by hand for this example.
  • The app images are captures of the current app in development. They do not show a signed or downloadable release.
  • The film was analyzed on the Mac; it was not uploaded anywhere.
